Bombe’ slant front desk with serpentine front. This desk is patterned after the “ Brinley” Desk at Winterthur. The sides and front (4 drawers and dividers) are shaped from one Mahogany board. The grain pattern was determined before the shaping started. The top, slant lid, and writing surface are made from one Mahogany board. This means that the lid matches the top when shut and the lid also matches the writing surface when open. The pigeonhole assembly is made from the same board as the lid and the grain matches throughout.
